Hace unos días se ha publicado una nueva versión de LACT con mejoras en la interfaz de usuario y con soporte para el editor de curvas para ajustar las frecuencias y el voltaje en tarjetas gráficas Nvidia.

Con LACT puedes obtener información, hacer over locking y ajustar los ventiladores de tu GPU en Linux.

I’m observing this visual 'bug' when simply moving wobbly windows around in #KDE #Plasma #Kwin: In about 1/5 of my movings, there is a significant lag. Monitoring GPU frequency via #LACT shows a sudden *drop* in frequency, rather than an increase like in the cases when the moving is rendered without lag.

Is this an #AMDGPU scheduler bug? A firmware issue? A Kwin bug?

Hab mich tollkühn getraut und die Gigabyte RX 9070 XT Gaming OC mein jetzt zehnjähriges Enermax Platimax 500 W durch Benchmarks keuchen lassen. Beim Standard-GPU-Limit von 330 W (eingestellt über #LACT) zieht das System so bis zu 950 W in Lastspitzen – und bleibt faszinierenderweise stabil. So viel Strom hab ich da noch nie durchgejagt. … Fühlt sich aber echt nicht nachhaltig für das Netzteil an. 🫠

As a (temporary) replacement of #GWE so I could configure fan controls for my #NVIDIA GPU on #Linux, I ended up using #LACT and it works perfectly! I still prefer GWE simply bcos it supports #Flatpak but for everyone else, LACT is a solid choice for fan controls or overclocking your GPU since it not only supports #NVIDIA GPUs, but also #Intel and #AMD.

I've updated my Linux wiki with the simple steps on how to get it set up.

Ich habe nun #LACT in mein privates Debian Repo aufgenommen. Erst mal nur das GUI-Paket, vielleicht bei Bedarf noch die Headless-Variante.

Bin hierüber auf das grafische Linux-Programm #Lact gestoßen, zur Überwachung von #AMDGPU-Werten, die kein anderes Werkzeug so darstellt, außerdem Übertaktung möglich, quasi ein Wattman. Gibt es im AUR, der Rust-Compiler scheint lange 'stecken zu bleiben', schafft dann aber irgendwann die Kurve.
