Leaving #Lacanau we moved south to #Navarrosse on the shores of Lac de #Sanguinet. We enjoyed a few exploratory walks & a 2k #wildswim parallel to the local beach. The lac was shallow, rarely over our chests, the water sometimes too shallow to swim properly. We even passed an exercising group walking in formation across the bay. We had a few #cycling jaunts, one to #Biscarrosse town in stifling heat, another to Biscarrosse Plage for a sea swim & some chill beach time. [06/24]

Der französische Badeort #Lacanau sieht sich gezwungen, umzusiedeln, da der ansteigende #Meeresspiegel und starke Erosion den #Strand bedrohen. In den nächsten Jahren plant die Gemeinde, wichtige Teile des Ortes ins Landesinnere zu verlegen. Die #Kosten für #Schutzmaßnahmen und #Entschädigungen könnten in die Millionen gehen, eine Herausforderung, die Unterstützung von regionalen und EU-Ebenen erfordert.
