I have never been to Olympia in Greece, so have only seen pictures and casts of this metope, but the beauty of the figures entrances me.
I sometimes daydream that further "severe style" works will be found in the ocean or turn up in some yet undisturbed site on land.

- #starmer will not make any specific commitment on #EU - he wants to win as big a majority as he can
- people grossly underestimate how long it will take - the EU will not treat with any #ukGovt at all on any sort of deal for quite some time - and labour will have to put any such putative deal in a #manifesto beforehand - but that will not be for the #nextGE but some later one

The "Albanian migrants" issue was always ripe to be addressed by treating with the Albanian state - paying them to handle their own people and dealing with the causes of migration. It is a small poor country.
