Steve Bannon prefers to talk about the “deconstruction of the administrative state,” but that amounts to the same thing.

These ideas are not original to Vance or Bannon: In the 21st century, elected leaders such as #HugoChávez or #ViktorOrbán have also used their democratic mandates for the same purpose. Chávez fired 19k employees of the state oil company; Orbán dismantled #LaborProtections for the #CivilService.

#Trump, who sought to #weaken #LaborProtections & deter #unionization while president, also spoke out against #UAW president #ShawnFain, saying “he’s not doing a good job.”

“The #autoworkers are being sold down the river by their leadership, & their leadership should endorse Trump,” he said (all about him, not the workers).

When asked whether he supported the #BigThree companies or striking #workers, Trump refused to say, replying: “I’m on the side of making our country great.”

“The #autoworkers will not have any jobs, because all of these cars are going to be made in China. The electric cars, automatically, are going to be made in China.”Trump told Kristen Welker of NBC News in an interview that will air Sun.
