Everyone can install a TTS Text to Speech AI with an intel i5 computer. Piper TTS has a very small latency. It reads text almost real-time. If you have an i9 computer with only integrated graphics, you can use Piper seamlessly as a story teller or even a private tutor for yourself or your kids.
Kyutai TTS is arguably a better TTS. However, it requires a decent graphics card with a lot of VRAM. Here is a comparison of these two TTS generated by Copilot.
