    The amount of reply guys making excuses for designs that skew towards men bothers me. I shouldn't be surprised, yet I am.

    LOADS of things, including medical research, are skewed towards cis white men. Yes, bias is built into the system, that's why we refer to systemic racism, systemic ableism, etc. FFS

    If you haven't read Sara Ahmed, you're missing out.

    Her essay "White Men" goes a long way to making sense of how institutions work, and how their behaviours diverge from their stated mandates.

    I read this essay 8 1/2 years ago and I have never stopped thinking about it.
