I guess this is not only a #NixOS problem but concerns anyone wanting to use their Kyocera printer on Linux. I understand that pypdf3 is deprecated and one should use just pypdf, but the kyocera driver is proprietary, so how would one fix that? 🤔
I guess Kyocera themselves don't care whatsoever...

Привет всем, кто заглянул на Хабр за чем-нибудь полезным под кофе Устраивайтесь поудобнее — сегодня поговорим про ту самую работу, где в тикете пишут «Не работает принтер», без логов и деталей, а со стороны бизнеса уже «горит» и нужно «ещё вчера». Но вместо забегов по магазину — открываешь Kyocera NetViewer , подключаешься к устройствам и начинаешь разбираться, не вставая со стула. В этой статье — мой взгляд на удалённую первую линию в ритейле через призму Kyocera NetViewer : как честно закрывать заявки, опираясь на статус устройства, сетевую доступность, события и базовые проверки, а не на марш-броски к каждому принтеру. Разберём: • что проверять в NetViewer в первую очередь (онлайн/оффлайн, ошибки, счётчики, состояние расходников); • как по статусам понять, проблема на стороне устройства, сети или клиента; • в каких случаях достаточно удалённых действий (перезапуск очереди, проверка подключения, базовая диагностика); • и где проходит та самая граница, когда уже пора идти к принтеру, который жуёт бумагу и подозрительно пахнет гарью. Без занудной теории — только живой кейс, практические шаги диагностики через Kyocera NetViewer , немного самоиронии и мысли о том, как сделать так, чтобы уставал не ты, а только spooler Нука-нука, что там у тебя...

#LibreOffice nos da todo lo necesario para crear y editar toda clase de documentos.
.. y el multifuncional #Kyocera se reconoció a la primera, no hubo que instalar nada, y todo mundo esta imprimiendo facilmente.

La conexión a unidades de red (equipos, NAS, etc.) también es muy simple de configurar. Creo que tuve menos problemas de que estos equipos vieran una carpeta compartida que tengo en mi #Macbook, a la portatil que tengo con #Windows11.
La #Kyocera de la oficina tiene su propio correo para imprimir documentos, asi que aunque no exista el controlador adecuado, con mandarle el PDF me es suficiente. (3/4)

Tenía muchas ganas de un #multifuncional de a de veras para la oficina, así que rompí mi cochinito y me compré un #KYOCERA MA2100. #Cyberpuerta tuvo a bien el confiar el envío a #ESTAFETA, cuyo individuo trató la caja con la delicadeza de un gorila enfurecido, así que llegó dañado. Pero el servicio de atención a clientes fue muy amable, siempre atentos al reporte, y me enviaron un segundo equipo, que ya tengo funcionando. Impresionante equipo, con miles de maravillas funcionales.

As my #kyocera m5521cdw decided that, no, I do not deserve to scan to verified working #samba or #ftp, and given that the pull mechanism of the scanner is broken..
What decent #scanner / #printer combination makes sense? I want to print with #linux and #android, I want to scan a bunch of documents to #paperless, and I want to do this every few weeks of months with no hassle, so I figure only a laser or a led printer makes sense?
I'd rather spend more and not touch the setup for the next decade

The S1310 is notable as being late in Kyocera's mobile life, yet was before their merge with Sanyo's mobile division. During this point in time, CDMA Kyocera phones had very close roots to Qualcomm's own phones.

Привет, Хабр. Меня зовут Александр, и с недавнего времени я работаю системным администратором в «Петрович-Тех». Не так просто поделиться локальной проблемой, когда регулярно читаешь лонгриды о каких-то масштабных продуктах, в том числе и разделе «системное администрирование» на Хабре. Но потом я подумал: «А какая у меня цель?». Очень простая. Помочь коллегам, которые, возможно, столкнулись с аналогичной проблемой и не смогли её победить. Да и сама мысль о заметке появилась после того, как я сам не нашёл в интернете решение. Может, просто плохо искал 🙂 Системное администрирование мне нравится тем, что во многих случаях часто на одну проблему бывает несколько решений. Но не все из них подходят по другим критериям. Расскажу о решении, которое подогнал под решение задачи для нашего случая.
