They took both of our emails & two sets of credit card details then said "declined" 2x. Scam?

That last boost, about age verification, is great, but the article it links to specifically about Epic's "Kids Web Services" - as implemented by BlueSky and others shortly - is incredible.
Basically by signing up to it, Epic gain your permission to collect everything they can about you and your devices, then use it to develop their products and services. Plus they'll treat the entire database as a saleable business asset. 💩

I would think #Bluesky would have a more robust first response to its forced identity verification than a 500-word blog post.
For questions about your personal info and data, Bluesky refers you to Epic Games, who will also now have your verified identity via the Kids Web Services software.
Epic Games and #Meta are pretty chummy these days so no surprise that Meta also uses #KWS to identify people.

Der #Indiebookday ist ein Tag, an dem gemeinsam aufgerufen wird, sich in einem Buchladen ein Buch aus einem unabhängigen Verlag zu kaufen und darüber etwas mit dem Hashtag #Indiebookday zu posten.
Vorbild ist der „Record Store Day“, der sich seit einigen Jahren zu einem großen internationalen Event in Plattenläden entwickelt hat.
Der Indiebookday findet diesmal am Samstag, 16. März, statt.
