Officials from #Taiwan's opposition #Kuomintang (#KMT) echoed Chinese President Xi Jinping's narrative of "national rejuvenation" at an official forum with the Chinese Communist Party this week in Beijing. KMT Vice Chairman Hsiao Hsu-tsen led a delegation to the Chinese capital for a "think tank exchange" held Monday through Wednesday, accompanied by the party think tank's Vice Chairman Lee Hong-yuan and 40 experts and academics.

Kuomintang (KMT) chairperson Cheng Li-Wun wants to meet China’s president Xi Jinping. She revealed in an interview with @TheEconomist on January 27th that after a nine-year hiatus, the KMT will resume dialogue with China’s Communist Party in early February, starting with exchanges between their think-tanks.
A Chinese mainland spokeswoman confirmed the reports. Zhang Han, spokeswoman for the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office, said a think tank forum between the Communist Party of China and the Kuomintang from Taiwan will be held in Beijing on Tuesday (February 3rd).
