Dunno why today I woke up thinking "what happened to the #KungFury movie?". So I dug a bit and it seems the movie was completely filmed in 2019 and has been stuck in legal limbo since then, because the Chinese financier company that put $12 million for filming, refused to pay the previously agreed additional $10 million needed for VFX. In the movie, Kung Fury, there's a satirical scene of people in the 80s discussing AIDs. Guy walks by on this big brick cellular phone.

Guy on phone: "Yes honey I got the test!"

Guy: "Don't worry, the doctor said the results were positive!"

Guy: "Great, I can't wait to see you tonight!"

As a child of the 90s who lost my godfather to AIDs a few years before effective treatments were available that scene had me crying and laughing. It was horrifyingly accurate.
