Quand #Kundera est mort, le 11 juillet, nous n'avons rien dit. Excès de pudeur, peut-être.
Pour nous, il reste associé à de magnifiques moments de lecture des années lycée et peu après.
On retient certes la figure antitotalitaire, mais plus sûrement ce fabuleux talent de conteur. -

I once took a deep dive into #Kundera: The Curtain: An Essay in Seven Parts, Identity, Ignorance, The Book of Laughter and Forgetting, The Unbearable Lightness of Being, and The Art of the Novel.
He taught me how to rip time into little pieces; each with a sense of violence while retaining a profound sense of humanity.

I remember reading Kundera's The Book of Laughter and Forgetting back in China when I was 17 and it did have a profound impact on my political views, but I never subscribed to the complete disillusionment with the notion of ideal-driven political projects that he seemed to espouse.
The insinuation that totalitarian regimes are made up of fervent idealists doing what they think is right also doesn't make sense in light of his own personal history.

Ich hätte ehrlich gesagt gar nicht gedacht, dass Milan #Kundera überhaupt noch lebt! 😮
Leider habe ich "Die unerträgliche Leichtigkeit des Seins" nie gelesen, aber der Film hat mir und allen um mich herum damals echt viel bedeutet.
Vielleicht hole ich das mit dem Buch ja noch mal nach.. Es müsste hier sogar noch in einem Bücherschrank stehen.. 🙂 -

Mit Milan Kunderas „Die unerträgliche Leichtigkeit des Seins“ habe ich 1992 angefangen, Spanisch in Granada zu lernen. Dann hat das Buch mich nach #Kuba begleitet (wie ich einen Lesezeichen grad entnahm). Jetzt ist #Kundera tot. Wenige Autoren haben mir so viel bedeutet. Ich bewundere sein Lebenswerk! Ein großartiger Mensch ist gegangen. #buch
