Wednesday I'll have to do the #kumite part (6 fights of 2 mins each).
If all goes well I'll earn my 4th Kyu belt. 💪PS: I'm all the way in the back, second row on the left

Just had my first karate sparring match(es). I had no idea what to expect, and spent the whole afternoon freaked out that I was going to get punched in the face.
And I did get punched in the face. And kicked in the head. And took a gunshot of a kick to the chest. And now I'm wrestling with the fact that, not only am I fine, but my reaction to it all - especially the kick to the chest - was "do it again".
WTF is wrong with the human brain?!?
