Hey, citizens of the fediverse - I just wanted to remember the great Grover Washington, Jr. who left us this day, 25-years ago. Far too soon. Such a talent, such a nice, kind man.
Just 5-days after celebrating his 56th birthday, Grover had a heart attack in the green room, after performing and recording four songs for “The Saturday Early Show”, at CBS Studios in New York City. He was pronounced dead at 7:30pm that day, December 17th, 1999, St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital in New York City.

I've been quiet for the last few weeks as I've been working on the first stage of getting my vinyl organized.
I acquired my vinyl collection in many countries, cities and stages of my life over the last 50-years. It's been in the same house for the last 6-years but in different rooms and places.
Stage-1 of the re-org now done. I've listed over 500 records for sale on discogs, to be honest most are house music 12" singles. There are about 60 left to list, but they came from a box in a storage basement in a very old building and need to be test played before listing.
Next up is to re-organize my main storage shelves, especially all my #ctirecords #kudu #verve #impulse and other treasured pressings.

Nach einem kurzen Besuch von Bobby, dem #Kudu, nahmen wir schweren Herzens Abschied von Bagatelle und machten uns auf den Weg Richtung Helmeringhausen.
Bobby sagt auf WiedersehenEtwa 300km staubige Schotterstraße mit Abwechslungsreicher Szenerie erwarteten uns.
Etappe 2Unser Ziel war die Farm von Anna und Darren. Die beiden sind grade dabei ihre Existenz aufzubauen und verdienen sich mit der Vermietung von Zimmern ein Zubrot. Mit 4 Hunden, einer handvoll Katzen und etwa einem Dutzend Pferden war ordentlich was los.
Eine der Katzen, besonders verschmustZur Begrüßung gab es eine riesige köstliche Wassermelone aus eigenem Anbau.
Zum Abendessen hatten wir uns ein traditionelles Braai gewünscht. Zu Deutsch: es wurde gegrillt: Wurst (Buurewurst) und Fleisch aus eigener Herstellung. Lecker, lecker.

Turns out the English only recognize one kudu but the French, with their sophisticated ways and their sensitive souls, distinguish between the grand koudou and the petit koudou. I feel like I'm missing out.
