The Kennedy Space Center Visitors Complex had a replica of #NASA’s Space Shuttle for visitors to tour to better understand the #SpaceShuttle.
After it was announced that the #Atlantis #Orbiter would go to #KSCVC, the model, then called #Explorer, was put on a barge and sailed to Houston for #JSC to display.

While the privately-funded #Atlantis #Museum was being designed, it was decided to have a life-size replica set of Space Shuttle Solid #Rocket Boosters and External Tank in front of the museum facade.
After entering the museum, from under or around the massive #SRBs, guests are treated to a view of the replicas and the rest of the Visitors Complex as they walk up to see the introductory film.
