I finally rewatched Krull and it was better than I was expecting. I think it's one of those movies where you have to think of it as a local play: you don't expect the special effects to be great, but you hope for some good writing and some good acting, and some interesting story developments, which there were. And there was a rich background to the planet's mythology as well. And honestly inside the Beast's lair was bizarre and interesting.
For those of you who haven't seen it, it's like...Knights of the Round Table...in Space...with a cyclops.
Freddie Jones and Alun Armstrong were both quite good I think.
