  1. Currently I work daily on my lines, with colors, shading and much more exercises to improve my art.

So, being on my way to the next level I will post different artwork that won't be "perfect" from my point of view but I like to show you the progress.

Today I painted a hippopotamus with its mouth wide open. I really like these animals and how much power they have. They are often named the most dangerous animal because it always fights with everyone in its territory.

First I sketched different poses of crocodiles and hippos and then added detail to my favorite one. Then I used a nice brushset and painted in Krita as almost always, preparing a palette by watching many photos and started painting.

At the end I know my mistakes with this piece but I am happy enough about it to show here.

Do you see the mistakes? Or do you like just watching art?
And do you also try new things currently?

    Created by me. No ai.

  2. Another - quite minimalistic - Krita plugin: restartKrita

This is a little special, I admit. While developing csh2krita and another addon I had to restart Krita constantly to test the new plugin versions and that got onto my nerves. So I did a quick "restart"-Plugin. You can add a UI button and restart Krita with one click (or via menu: scripts->restartKrita).

Tested in Krita 5.3.1 and 6.1.0 prealpha

  3. I've been concentrating only on 3D for a while now and so I hardly draw any more. But today, after a long break, I feel like it again and as you can see, the first brushstrokes are done.

  4. Bought a cheapo kids #Batman coloring book, sliced it up, and scanned it for doing colors in #Krita.

Experimented with RGBA brushes and quite like how this one came out, given the self-imposed two evening limit. Sometimes it's good to turn the brain off of computers.
