Outrun the pain.

Trauma Triggered

I survived once more
The trauma triggered
From my foot surgeries
This morning as I saw
Pics from the hospital
Two years ago.
I comforted myself as
I was caught off guard.
Tears poured down
My face as the
Trauma was triggered.
In the past, I resisted
Uncomfortable feelings
But this morning
I allowed it all while
I told myself I was safe
And let the pain flow.
