Singer / songwriter / experimental artist Ana Roxanne has a follow-up to critically acclaimed debut Because of a Flower. Muted piano, plucked bass, synthesizers and strings all contribute to a Lynchian atmosphere on this album.
Throughout the course of Poem 1, Roxanne displays her skill as a singer and songwriter in the classic sense, using the limited instrumentation simply to accent her exposed tones.

There aren’t _too_ many albums I’d buy again in a different format, but seeing Bowery Electric’s _Beat_ pop up in a local shop was irresistible. I loved it since its original release, with its mix of #drone and #shoegaze-y sounds along with (since it's the 90s) a few trip-hoppy beats. The cover fits well - it's music to travel to, when you need to stretch time a bit and zone out to something beautiful.
