this kiosk ("Büdchen" in the local dialect) is an extension of a nearby Jazz club and also an event location by itself. on warm summer evenings DJ sets are performed here with people hanging around the kiosk, drinking talking and dancing

I like the #adbuster aspect of it, although that billboard may simply not be in use anymore. above you can see some glimpses of an older, more official mural that depicts farmers selling cabbage ("Kappes" in the local dialect). the cabbage market was once right around the corner.

Ich war in #Sanssouci und ich muss leider berichten, dass das Schlösschen ganz schön herunter gekommen ist. Feuchtigkeit war wohl schon immer ein Problem, aber wie schwer kann das sein, das mal neu zu streichen?

This is taking into account that the discus was revised a few times. In fact it's the first movable type system in history (1850-1600 BC), using stamps in wet clay.

Few facts are known about the first European high culture created by the #Minoans. One thing is for sure though, they appreciated their #CatContent.

Graffiti of the Minoan Snake Goddess (and ultimate #catlady) showing the way to the Archeological Museum of #Heraklion, #Crete. And a pic of the actual figurine inside the museum.
She was found at the palace of Knossos and dates to the late bronze age, about 1600 BC. A #cat sits on top of her head to show her dominion over the animal world. Her dress reveals an ample bosom as a sign of fertility (also #boobs are nice).
