roscosmos convinced: "conditions on venus extremely similar to those on earth"finally! after the long waiting #kosmos482 has entered atmosphere, but it was definitely worth the wait; probe data shows a breathable atmosphere quite identical with earths, and a proof of liquid water on venus, as the probe plunged into a vast ocean!

I'm really objecting to seeing the phrase "Kosmos 482 re-enters the atmosphere more than a half century since launch" in a news article because it was launched the year I was born and I don't need to be reminded that I can be conveniently expressed as a fractional century.

A Russian report citing 6:24 UTC - https://x.com/katlinegrey/status/1921130197430018096 - is most likely only another extrapolation, not direct observation by some sensor.
