  1. Made Korean Lemon Syrup [네몬청] with lemons from our tree. I see lemonade in my future.

  2. Took a Korean cooking class with Seoul Cooking Club this morning. Made 3 types of Jeon (savory pancakes), gimbap, bibimbap, bulgogi, & japchae. All were so delicious - and my gimbap actually stayed together!

  3. I made Galbi Jjim with Cheese today with 3 side dishes, and it’s so good I want to propose to myself.

오늘 저는 갈비 찜 치즈와 3개 반찬을 만들었어요.

You are so right! I made tteokbokki (떡볶이) for lunch.

Since starting kDdramas, I've also made gochujang fried rice, samgyetang, a spicy radish side, a spicy cucumber side, ramen, & bulgogi - loved them all! I also buy kimchi regularly now.

Let us know how the seogogi goes!

  5. Made samgyetang (Korean chicken ginseng soup) for dinner.

It was surprisingly simple for how overwhelming the recipe made it seem. I thought it was delicious. My husband wasn't a fan - but he didn't add the salt & pepper as the recipe suggests.

The jujubes were new to me & I loved the flavor they added.

  6. I know a lot of people today were saying "what a great day, Imma cook a spicy korean garlicky dish tonight & I bought those little tiny red peppers, hmm they can't be THAT hot + I'm pretty good with spice stuff so I'm just going to eat one raw right here, why not, I shoot from the hip what could go wrong" and I just want to tell you I'm so sorry for your mouth right now because mine is calling the police

  7. Made Korean fried rice for dinner with this recipe. I left the meat out and used it as a side dish. Most delicious fried rice I've ever made. I added the carrots & pineapple.

I usually hate leftovers, but can't wait to eat them today!

I tried cucumber kimchi at a Korean restaurant here & I *love* it. There is 1 brand of cabbage kimchi that I found that I like, but not so much others.

I made a "quick" cucumber kimchi (it only sat for 2 hours, so it wasn't fermented) and it was delicious. I am planning to try to make my own real cucumber kimchi soon.

  9. I made this to go with Korean BBQ pork chops & tteokbokki.

I was pleasantly surprised. Never have I liked cooked spinach, but this was delicious.

I’m so sorry. It’s always a bummer when things don’t work out like you hoped. Here’s to a bumper crop of cabbage next year!

  11. Wow. Learning about Tongjiang Village, an ethnic Korean village in China. They cook Goryeo fire pan and it actually looks like something from the Goryeo era. Featured in E7 of The Hot Life (#Netflix) #KoreanFood #KoreanCommunities #KoreanCooking

  12. Planning on making chicken kalguksu, but now watching a show on Busan's pork gukbap and am desperate to eat that. Busan has over 700 restaurants specializing in this dish. Busan seems like a really fun place to eat.

A Nation of Broth (Netflix) isn't bad.
