Wow. Here in Korea, a woman was fined for “stalking” in her own apartment. The judge and jury said her repeatedly banging her own ceiling and calling her neighbor to turn down the noise amounted to “stalking.”

That dang Asian Giant Hornet that stung my head 11 days ago has been hovering around the front and back doors of my house, making me too afraid to take out the garbage or do gardening. (I coerce Hubby into doing that at night when he’s home. He understands my trauma). I am too chicken to try to shoot it down with the nearly-empty can of wasp spray I have on standby, and I have no idea if there’s a hive on our property. (I’m assuming there’s one next door.)
The welt has shrunk considerably but is still tender to the touch and may take another week or two to heal completely. I’m considering discussing with my doctor about getting an epi-pen since I’ve already been stung once and live next to an apiary.
Hoping for lots of rain. Gardening in the rain is fun and insect-free. 😅

I know being an artist is one of the bleakest occupations in the world right now in the face of AI generation and mass production but I like to think I gave it a good shot.
Zero sales (apart from my Mom) since July.
Lots of bots scraping my shop, but no humans engaging.
I’ll probably close up shop after paying my taxes in April and say “at least I tried.”
I don’t know what else to do with my life, though. Painting is all I’ve got. How do I support myself as an Autistic house-bound immigrant with a heart condition and zero connections?
Time to seriously think about this now.

The fragrance of acacia blossoms on a foggy May morning in Korea is one of my favorite things in life! Acacia smells like Downy fabric softener, something I’m highly allergic to. But I’m not allergic to acacia. The perfume in the air is just magical!

So I made some yummy coconut honey oatmeal bars and enjoyed my portion this morning before Hubby woke up.
“I’ll pay you ₩2,000 for one of yours.” I told him.
“No touch,” he laughed. “Mine. Besides, too much sugar not so good.”
After polishing off the final crumb of my own coconut bars on my plate, I sat there at my desk forlorn, considering walking to the store for the ingredients to make another batch. While staring at my empty plate, Hubby slides a new plate in front of me, this one containing three little triangles of freshly-cut tomato.
“For your detox,” he said simply.
