1st November means it's the Koppenbergcross on the outskirts of Oudenaarde, Belgium ๐ง๐ช Each lap of this cyclo-cross race includes the iconic Koppenberg cobbled climb that tends to have a large say in who wins the Tour of Flanders one-day classic road race.
The gradient peaks at 22% on a very harsh surface. It is hard enough to ride up (don't let that stop you if you get the opportunity), without repeatedly racing up it.
The rest of the lap is a bit of a cow field, but it's the Koppenberg and that's enough to make it worth watching if you can.

The rest is, frankly, a muddy cow field. Would I want to ride it? No. Will I be watching? Absolutely!

Veldrijder Lars van der Haar is tweede geworden in de Koppenbergcross. Van der Haar, die afgelopen weekend nog de wereldbekerwedstrijd in het Belgische Maasmechelen won, moest de Belg Thibau Nys voor zich dulden. De Belg Eli Iserbyt eindigde op plek drie.

Ich mag cyclo-cross einfach. Am besten gefรคllt mir, dass es keine Autos gibt und nach einer seiner vorbei ist.
