@ajroach42 here in #Norway we occasionally picked up the kinds of comic strip magazines with (often syndicated) comics you'd find in newspapers. The titles probably won't ring a bell for you: #Kolletivet, #Pondus, #Nemi, #M and the likes. Kollektivet probably still is my favourite; it features a group of friends of which a couple of them live in the same house, and it's filled with regional and global stereotypes.
We usually got a bunch at a time from a #secondHand bookstore.
