Scoots a little explainer on Origin onto my Aethy :blobcat_peek:
Origin: Spirits of the Past is the media the characters I draw are from (unless i state they are ocs)
It’s a post apocalyptic anime film made by Studio Gonzo in 2006. It features themes of moving on from the past, harmony with humans and nature, and second chances. There are sentient trees, plant superpowers, body horror, a communal town built out of ruins, and a dangerous military state who lives in the desert. there’s also stunning animation and music. The opening and ending are done by KOKIA.
The two main characters are Agito and Toola. The antagonist and villain is Shunack. Agito gets beat up a lot if whump is your thing. The movie has some kinky vibes too. Agito wears a dog collar for half the runtime.
If you liked stuff like Nausicaa of the valley of the wind or Horizon Zero Dawn (Or heck if you watched Heavenly Delusion or Trigun Stampede) this should be relatively up your alley.
Bonus: Gorgeous soundtrack and background art, often of ruins and forests. (Recommending this movie because it’s my special interest and I love it so much :shroom_party:)
