CW: Glass Onion spoilers
Watched Glass Onion last night.
Love how the first time a character even talked about Miles Bron, I immediately went "the guy is an idiot, and he's definitely Elon Musk."
And of course I enjoyed that the storytelling "gimmick" was different from that of Knives Out, with how information was left out the first time scenes were played, and then fully shown later.
Though a lot of clues were still dropped throughout.

Finally watched Knives Out. Glad I got there eventually, because it was pretty brilliant.
Loved how all those little odd details I took note of throughout the movie ended up being relevant to the truth behind the mystery, even though I didn't actually put it all together on my own.
Good mystery writing, eh?

I just watched "Knives Out", and I have to say, this is the most Sherlock Holmes-feeling thing I've seen in quite some time, even though he's more of a kinda-silly Sherlock. 😁
I really liked the movie, even though I could've done without people throwing up. *shivers*
The German Bluray is disappointing in that it has the English dub, but only German subtitles, which made me switch fully to the German dub along the movie, as, as often in modern movies, some spoken things are just so damn silent in the English original.
But yeah, a really entertaining movie.
Horrible family, though. But great acting. 🙂

Love all the subtexts beyond the murder–mystery: the racist WASPs, Blanc (despite being white) still an outsider because he is southern, and of course, Marta Cabrero treated even worse as a Latina hired help. Craig, de Armas and Plummer bring this right up in class. #film

Yeah I know. I haven't read it though.
Neither have I - Nobody has ... But I like the title. It describes the path of a projectile determined by natural law - e voila! My method: I observe the facts, without biases of the head or heart, I determine the arc's path, stroll leisurely to it's terminus, and the truth falls at my feet.

Enjoyable murder mystery with a couple twists and turns. Great characters and setting. Daniel Craig is great in it, as always.
There were no dogs.

The most infuriating thing about the most recent "twitter situation" is that Elon Musk has done to Robert Heinlein's legacy and the term "grok" what Miles Bron did in 'Glass Onion' to the Mona Lisa, but it's such a minor bump in the caravan of bad ideas that it's not even on most people's radar.

All the Knives Out movies are pretty great, but Glass Onion is my favourite thus far. I of course reserve the right to change my mind as I think on Dead Man in the future, but I think of Glass Onion often, and fondly. #film #knivesOut
