Of the three #BenoitBlanc mysteries, I still like #KnivesOut the most. Love all the subtexts beyond the murder–mystery: the racist WASPs, Blanc (despite being white) still an outsider because he is southern, and of course, Marta Cabrero treated even worse as a Latina hired help. Craig, de Armas and Plummer bring this right up in class. #film

Movie Review 7: Wake Up Dead Man
Enjoyable murder mystery with a couple twists and turns. Great characters and setting. Daniel Craig is great in it, as always.
There were no dogs.

The most infuriating thing about the most recent "twitter situation" is that Elon Musk has done to Robert Heinlein's legacy and the term "grok" what Miles Bron did in 'Glass Onion' to the Mona Lisa, but it's such a minor bump in the caravan of bad ideas that it's not even on most people's radar.

All the Knives Out movies are pretty great, but Glass Onion is my favourite thus far. I of course reserve the right to change my mind as I think on Dead Man in the future, but I think of Glass Onion often, and fondly. #film #knivesOut

Wake Up, Dead Man - faithWe watched all 3 "Knives Out" films this week. I'd seen the first two already but the rest of the family had not. Pushing the boundaries a bit on "PG-13" especially on the latest one, but overall everyone was intrigued by the stories and way the plots were laid out. Highly Recommended #movies #knivesout #mystery

Calidad/tiempo: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Igual que muchas veces opino que una serie debiera ser una película, me habría gustado que esta película hubiese sido una miniserie de 3 episodios. Lo que pasa es que siendo así perdería el encanto de peli navideña (ya sé que no tiene la temática, pero Netflix viene estrenándola cerca de estas fechas y ya es tradición).
Me habría gustado una mejor elaboración de los secundarios y de toda la historia antes del crimen; un poquitín más de cuidado en la realización, y le habría dado 5 de 5 en todo. Vamos, que me ha gustado mucho 😊Y con esto cierro 2025. Si veo algo mañana, que lo dudo, irá a la lista de 2026.
