AT LAST, I have succeeded in making heels on the dean+been sock machine… not perfectly, and with some screaming in frustration, but there you are. I don’t have the time or focus to do the toes yet, but at least there is a pair of socks in my knitting bag, ready to drive to NJ tomorrow. -

Finally finished my Rose Pi shawl — it’s been weeks in the making. Yarn is assorted colors of Loops+Threads Impeccable on 5.5mm (US 9) interchangeable needles with a LONG cable; pattern is Rose Pi, available on ravelry.com. -

I finally got my sock machine working again, making portable projects for when I go to New Jersey in ten days — photo of previous socks below, sparkling laceweight yarn from hobbii.com.
In the meantime, working hard to finish a worsted weight lace shawl, so my lap is full of heavy yarn! -

#Knitsky Blocking (washing, pinning, drying) my latest knitted shawl… This took 12 oz (two rolls) Big Twist Burgundy and 6 oz Big Twist Twinkle in Mulberry for the feather-and-fan border, knitted on 6mm extended circular needle, all my own pattern. This took about three weeks to make.

For Mother’s Day I watched Dune 1 and 2 and finished a pair of socks. Yarn is HHF Sock in colorway “Squid.” #knitsky 🧶
