Wow 94.7 #KMET shown in the last picture here. In SoCal that used to be THE rock station. "The Mighty Met" Before #KNAC and #KLOS .It could have been #KLOS but I think #KMET had Lucifer La Rock on Saturday night at midnight. It was the only time and place on the dial to hear #metal in the early 80s.

94.7 changed hands, and its format... from #KMET to "The Wave". A smooth jazz station.

#KLOS took over as the station that played all the #LedZepplin type #rock.

#KNAC came later for the #metal

@VLD Now those are the stories I would love to hear. I hung out on the Strip during the early and mid 90’s. I remember when #KNAC was big. Used to go to the #Whiskey, #Rainbow, #Gazzarri’s, #CoconutTeaser, #TheTrubador #ThePalace, #Paladium. The last 2, I know weren’t on the Strip, but I’ve seen some great bands there.
