  2. Keretapi Tanah Melayu's (#KTM) Komuter service and Electric Train Service (#ETS) are experiencing disruptions of between 15 and 30 minutes from the original schedule on Wednesday (Nov 29).

    This was due to a #train #derailment incident at the #KlangValley Double Tracking project engineering 1 (KVDT1) at KM387.755 between the Kuala Lumpur Station and KL Sentral Station at 4.05am

  3. The #Ipoh#KualaLumpur #highspeedrail (#HSR), which will only take 40 minutes of traveling between the two cities, is awaiting government finalization.

    This may well be the first HSR project in the country, preceding the proposed Kuala Lumpur-Singapore HSR.

    #Rail service has become the major mode of #publictransport in #Perak, and the Ipoh #train station is the second busiest in the country after #KLSentral.

  4. At approximately 11:03am on 23 October, a #KLIATransit #train from #KLSentral Station heading to #KLIA was involved in an incident with a #trespasser at KM46.7, just after #SalakTinggi Station.

    The train subsequently continued its journey to the #airport. Train services were temporarily combined, and normal #KLIAEkspres services resumed from 1220hrs from KL Sentral, and 1215hrs from KLIA T2.

    Normal KLIA Transit services resumed from 1233hrs from KL Sentral, and 1218hrs from KLIA T2.

  5. Express Rail Link Sdn Bhd (ERL) expects to equip KL City Air Terminal in KL Sentral with Check-in Kiosks and Self Bag Drop services by the second quarter of 2024 through its collaboration with aviation technology provider, SITA.

    The new facilities will enable passengers to check in and drop their bags within 30 seconds at the train station before boarding the KLIA Ekspres train to the airport.

  6. Rapid KL will provide a free shuttle van service (#T851) from KL Sentral to the Parliament building from 9 Oct until 14 Dec to address the shortage of parking bays during Parliament sittings.

    The shuttle service was for those with official business at Parliament, but people can also use this service if they want to go to the Perdana Botanical Garden.

  7. Express Rail Link (#ERL) is informing the public that they will be running combined #KLIAEkspres and #KLIATransit service on Sunday, 6 August 2023 from 5:00 am to 7:00 am to carry out #mosquito #fogging exercise at the #train platforms at #KLSentral.

    At KL Sentral Station, all #departures and #arrivals will be through KLIA Ekspres ARRIVAL platform. The combined #service #frequency will be 30 minutes. Normal services will resume after the completion of the fogging exercise.
