The #Mughal ruler Bahadur Shah at his Court at #Agra or #Delhi #RedFort in this 1707 AD #Painting now at #DavidCollection #Denmark
This mesmerizing painting is by artist Bhavanidas who was an important artist at the Mughal court until 1719.
As the Mughal Empire began to decline, Bhavanidas lost the Royal patronage.
So, he migrated to the #Rajput kingdom of #Kishangarh #Rajasthan where he found work at the court of Raj Singh (ruled 1705-48 AD).
