I have not finished packing for #GearBlastEU
I need to shave
But... I found time to upgrade my patch game πβ¨ -
About a week until #GearblastEU
Plenty of time for last minute electronic shenanigans right π

CW: Latex, No nudity
I went to #GearblastUK as a deadline for my Screen10 project to try win their Creative Outfit challenge β¨
Then I found more DIY to put in my outfits and... IT PAID OFF π
I won #GBUK2024 Outfit Challenge π₯

I'm so thankful for them to be so welcoming, living through my adventures in making and delivery issues but it was all worth it β¨

Now the front module is self contained with battery and micro controller!
It's based off of a model from @Robin that I recreated and upgraded to house all the brain π
Hopefully, some photos of me wearing it soon β¨

I cannot be trusted with technology π€£ (thanks @pupartemis for the suggestion π)

I think I can say it now.
The hardware part of the Screen10 is now complete for this version.I can wear it, I can manage to see though it (although a bit blurry), and it looks SO FREAKING COOL
Now, onto making it easy to control and some extra fun stuff

Can't do a walk test because of the mess and trying to keep some privacy, so here, the mask is ON MY FACE ON ITS OWN
And I can SEE MY PHONE (very blurry though)
-
You can't even imagine how fucking good I feel right now.
IT FREAKING WORKS!
I am SOOOOO close to having something complete (fitting the lenses inside, slightly better cable management) BUT IT DOES WHAT I WANT IT TO DO AAAAAAAA π

What happens when you start cleaning and sorting stuff out...
You get distracted by doing some tests with the hardware you sort and do some test fits!
Some updates required, but a good start πͺ
-
Welp, that's what we call karma I guess π
Went a bit too strong when mounting the screen and heard a louder pop than usual...
-
Actually, related to this post if anyone here got any good ressources/tutorial on how to get a good version of a FFT or frequency analysis of an audio input in Python, that would be greatly appreciated!
I am coding blind here π

This does not look like much, but means that I found a way to do that "cheap" version of the screen lens where you can only stream video to it.
Still some work to do on the software side to make it run consistently though...
-
And a bit of window tint later, It hides the "messy" cables a bit, and ESPECIALLY with the LED off.
Now I should probably add a "off" mode for the out screen to go full stealth π
-
So, the support seems to work π
It's getting a bit crowded in the mask, and unfortunately my choice of lenses seems wrong, so I need to look in to something else that would work...
A setback, but hopefully surmountable πͺ

Back to 3D printing and I have NO idea if what I'm doing will work, but hey, that's part of the fun π
Waiting for it to print now β
-
Now everyone say "DROOOONE" for the picture πΈ
Python is full of surprises and fun when you look into it. Now if I can find a way to print that on a wireless portable printer that would be π

This drone is equipped with all sort of sensors to warn you in case of emergencies**X0-Tech is not liable to the non accuracy of these claims π
(with also a sneak peek at the front module mod to hold the camera that I'm working on)

Haven't done that many updates as of late, limited energy. But I ended up doing some 3D printing and... Finally getting around modifying my new mask π¬.
I'll also wait on changing the flat lenses because the one I have has a bubble I can't manage to get rid of, and I might swap it for a darker tint.
-
Sometimes, your drone also needs some security feature so that no unauthorised user can take control...
...Or that the drone itself remains locked out ππ

Hmm... Yes it's the... Battery level indicator... Nothing more π β‘
