2 injured with minor injuries after shooting at Maineville, Ohio Kroger.
Shots were fired from outside the store and at least one victim was inside the store's lobby when the shooting occurred
Police said there is no threat to the public. Kroger's has closed for the rest of the night.

'Brood 14' is out and about in Mason, bringing some uninvited guests to one of the Tri-State's biggest attractions
In #Ohio, visitors at #KingsIsland — a theme park near #Cincinnati — have shared videos of the cicadas taking over trees and spreading out across the park's grounds.
Down the road in Blue Ash, an accident happened when #cicadas got inside a moving vehicle, which caused the driver to overreact and flip the car on its side in the middle of traffic.
So I was floating down the lazy river at #KingsIsland the other day and something pretty funny happened. It's only about 2.5 feet deep but has pumps giving it a current to push you around the park. All of a sudden some little dude about 7-10 years old (water was chest/neck deep on him) comes hopping up beside me obviously working hard to stay upright against the current as it pushes him around, and we had this little interaction.

Took the kids to #KingsIsland yesterday. It was their first time ever to a theme park so they had a great time and we got to cap off the evening with their #July4th #fireworks celebration.
Had a good time last night at Kings Island. Nice weather, and not nearly as crowded as I was expecting
Grizzly is a wooden roller coaster at Kings Dominion that opened to the public in 1982. The ride was built in house by the Taft Attractions group and is a redesign of the legendary Wildcat at Coney Island.
Grizzly was designed to compliment Beast at Kings Island, another property owned by Taft Broadcasting at the time. While not as universally loved, Grizzly still packs a punch today.

The wonderfully named Bavarian Beetle was a Galaxi S.D.C. model coaster that operated at @KingsIslandPR from 1972 to 1978. This was an opening day attraction for the park that had been purchased from Coney Island (not *that* Coney Island), a defunct amusement park also in Cincinnati.
Bavarian Beettle was scrapped after the 1978 season to make room for the more roller coasters, including The Beast and Demon.

This King’s Island Pride Night we made a beeline for Orion, the world’s seventh giga coaster as soon as we arrived. What’s that you say? It’s a roller coaster with a height/drop of 300 feet. Orion has that and goes 91 mph (146 km/h) on that first hill. (Wikipedia)
I was hesitant to even ride… During my last Pride Night (6 years ago) I started having less than stellar experiences with coasters. But I wanted to try.
Once strapped in I made note of my blood pressure (quite elevated), felt clammy and wondered if I made the right choice.
Orion turned out to be very smooth and fast and whoa. It was less about plastering you into the seat and more about lifting your butt off it.
I survived, gripping the bar with white knuckles while all the tendons in my neck were about to pop out. (As evidenced by photos below)
The beauty of Pride Night is you can hop on most any ride without much of a wait. So as soon as we finished with our first ride we met up with friends at the exit and did Orion again, immediately.
This time I was less deathly. By my third time when we closed out the evening, I was able to have my hands up the whole way.
Pride Night had a great crowd and I got to see (and hug) many folks I hadn’t seen for years — and met new friends along the way. Man, I missed all this. It was lovely to experience again.
Note: I was not comfortable with the tightness of the lap bar on The Beast and decided to skip out on the classic coaster. In hindsight, I feel really good about this decision.
How #Gay Is #CedarPoint?
10 years ago in 2013, #CedarPoint #canceled a planned #wedding #contest when a #gay #couple, #ScottKenimond and #EricMorrison from #Akron, was #denied #entrance and a #protest was organized in response.
Unlike its sister park, #KingsIsland, just outside of #Cincinnati, there is still no officially authorized #GayDay at Cedar Point. Cedar Point also does not #advertise in any #queer #media.
Banshee is my number 1 at #kingsisland and I don't care who knows it.

There's no other coaster in the world quite like the Beast, and its unique design and thrills has it ranked as one of our favorite roller coasters ever.
Night rides on the Beast are things of legends - hurtling through the dark into the unknown seems almost too spooky for some. This class is constantly ranked as a top wooden coaster even though it will be 44 years old in 2023.

Two Kings Island coasters in the top 10?? Unreal! But Banshee is a great B&M coaster, one with tons of thrills for even the biggest coaster fan.
My advice - snag a spot in that back row! You will whip through the track from the first drop to the brake run. It's one of the best back seat rides I've been on.

This ranks so high on the list because it's proof that there is still space to build traditional wooden roller coasters in today's #ThemeParks. Theme parks tend to want to pass on building wooden coasters and opt for flashier steel options instead. But wooden coasters can be a great addition to a park's lineup, and Mystic Timbers is a great argument for exactly that.
