@czarbucks How fitting! #Amsterdam and the rest of the #n etherlands were one big party of people wearing something orange because of #Kingsday #Koningsdag. (We left town because the noise and crowds are no longer pleasant and spend a perfect nice day in #Zeist with my sister, brother and double cousin).

I just saw someone shamble back into my neighbourhood from a King's Day celebration.

They managed to round every corner there wasn't in our straight road, found fence and bush and narrowly missed a low wooden post, and eventually managed to open a door through which they disappeared into a home.

I'm not sure if it was their home, but they didn't come out again so I'm hoping for the best for them.

May your hangover be mild, oh drunk one.

My son got a second-hand R/C car today on #kingsday and of course it did not work after we put the batteries in. But secretly I like that a lot because I get to look inside and try to repair it 👨‍🔧

Also, today being King's day means I have to deal with this fucking bullshit again. Whoever invented these should burn in hell. 😝 (They're still tasty though🧡)

Today is King's day in the Netherlands (the king's birthday) and it is a countrywide celebration with flea markets and festivals.

Since the lion is our national animal and we happened to have a couple of stone lions that came with the house, I decided to dress them up in the national colours. That's as far as my patriotism generally goes 😁
