  1. TST 2026 Friday Recap – Men’s Knockout Round of 32, Women’s Group Play, and Mixed Division Thrillers Deliver Nonstop Action in Cary

    The Soccer Tournament (TST) continued to showcase world-class competition on May 29 at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, North Carolina, as the Men’s Round of 32, Women’s Group Stage, and Mixed Division matches produced dramatic finishes, comeback victories, and standout individual performances.

    From target score time winners to dominant shutouts, fans were treated to a full day of unforgettable soccer action.

    Detroit City FC Dominates Mixed Division

    Detroit City FC put the Mixed Division on notice with a commanding 6-0 victory over Solo FC. Six different players found the scoresheet, led by Brielle Heuglin, Jay Chapman, Emma Nicholson, Lilley Bosley, Lopez Jordy, and Celia Gaynor.

    Later in the day, Detroit City FC remained unbeaten with a 2-0 victory over Sneaky FC behind goals from Lopez Jordy and Antoine Hoppenot.

    Boca Dallas also impressed, earning victories over Pumas De Alabama and Prestige Worldwide. Vivian Akyirem scored both target score goals in Boca Dallas’ morning comeback victory, while João Miranda delivered the game winner against Prestige Worldwide later in the day.

    Bumpy Pitch FC mixed squad rebounded from an early loss to defeat Hashtag United 3-0 and later edged Peluche Hawks 3-2 in Target Score Time behind Sydney Watts’ winning goal.

    Women’s Division Features Big Performances

    City Soccer FC Women opened their day with a dominant 4-0 victory over Bumpy Pitch FC as Natalie Oronoz recorded a hat trick.

    Simply Futbol FC Women delivered one of the most dramatic comebacks of the day, defeating Ultrain FC 2-1 after Taylor Tufts scored the Target Score Time winner. Tufts later scored another game-winning goal in a comeback victory over Bumpy Pitch FC Women.

    Sportive FC Women continued their strong tournament run with wins over Club América and US Women. Riley Kennedy scored both goals against Club América, while Caitlin Mara netted the winner against US Women.

    Rated Sports FC Women emerged as one of the hottest teams of the day. Kierra Blundell recorded a hat trick in a 4-2 victory over North Carolina Courage Women before Rated Sports later shut out Iowa Demon Hawks 3-0.

    Reunion City Dallas Women also remained impressive, collecting wins over Speedy Turtles FC and Austin Rise FC behind strong performances from Pearl Cecil and company.

    Kansas City II Women closed the evening with a dominant 6-1 win over Club América, powered by a two-goal, one-assist performance from Skylar Blaise.

    North Carolina Courage Women bounced back from an earlier loss to defeat Solo FC Women 3-1 behind goals from Katie Richter, Macey Bader, and Amaris Bumba.

    Men’s Round of 32 Produces Drama

    The Men’s Knockout Round of 32 delivered some of the tournament’s most exciting moments.

    La Bombonera eliminated La Mexicana Express 2-1 in Target Score Time thanks to Javier Espinosa’s winner.

    KRÜ FC advanced past Edmonton Rangers FC after Fouad el Amrani Boualouan scored the decisive goal in a 2-1 victory.

    The 610 survived Hoosier Army 2-1, while Hernandez United mounted an impressive comeback to defeat Dueling For Lincoln FC 4-2 after trailing at halftime.

    Genefit FC edged TMT Chicago 2-1 thanks to Antonio Cortes’ Target Score Time winner.

    Furia FC defeated Orlando Pirates FC 4-2, and Kwik Goal FC delivered one of the day’s most lopsided results with a 5-0 victory over Bumpy Pitch FC.

    LCF Academy, Freedom United SC, Pumas De Alabama, Tactical Manager’s Flo Sharks, Fort Lauderdale Strikers, Soccer Central FC, Kings League All Stars, and Drunken Monkeys Men all advanced after impressive performances.

    Among the standout teams, Kings League All Stars made a statement by defeating Reggae Rovers FC 5-2 behind two goals from Andreas Felipe Reis Vaz.

    Boca Dallas Men continued their perfect tournament run, improving to 4-0 overall with a dominant 4-0 victory over Club América.
