I've played 50 hours of KCD 1 and haven't finished it yet. The game still blows my mind. What a well-thought-out game world they managed to build. Everything makes sense, which is rare in video games.

This is the game where I use the most of the game mechanics (which are all mostly optional). All the small game details were meaningful and added infinite depth to the world.

Warhorse Says New Kingdom Come Game Is Still An “Open World RPG” Made In “The Warhorse Way”

Warhorse Studio is stll understandably keeping details on its newly announced Kingdom Come game, but it has shared a few small details in a recent stream, including a release window.

Communications director Tobias Stolz-Zwilling and community manager Tom Grey hosted a livestream on Youtube. When the new Kingdom Come was revealed a few days back, it was described as a “new Kingdom Come adventure,”. This raised some questions about what kind of game Warhorse is making alongside the open-world Middle-Earth RPG they also announced.

But Tobias Stolz-Zwilling and Tom Grey assuaged any fears over the new game, describing it as ““a Kingdom Come open world RPG” under the purview of Prokop Jirsa, a Warhorse Studios developer and now its creative director for Kingdom Come.

Despite everything, though, they stopped short of describing the new game as Kingdom Come: Deliverance 3, though. Although, let’s be honest, we know a third game is going to happen at somepoint.

They also pushed it as featuring deeply immersive design, a living world, memorable places, strong narrative focus, and the studio’s usual “Warhorse way” of making RPGs.

They say the studio wants to continue expanding the Kingdom Come universe, which to me hints toward this being a spin-off rather than a direct sequel.

We won’t have to wait long, either as the game is apparently scheduled for “the next fiscal year,” which they explain runs from April 1 to March 31.

Warhorse Studios Is Making A Lord Of The Rings RPG And A New Kingdom Come “Adventure”

The beacons are lit! Gondor calls for aid! And Warhorse Studios shall answer! Yes, following numerous rumours, Warhose Studios, the developers of the Kingdom Come: Deliverance games, has confirmed it is working on a Lord of the Rings game.

The studio popped up on social media to deliver the news, simply saying that they are working on “An open world Middle-earth RPG”. No other details were given, so we have no idea when the game might be set within Tolkien’s expansive world or anything else.

It’s a fairly big change of style for Warhorse, who have so far dealt in historically rooted adventures, where the only canon they had to adhere too was history itself. Kind of. Now, they have to venture into dealing with established lore for a massive franchise, plus fictional elements like magic and weirdness.

It’ll also be interesting to see how they hande difficulty. Warhorse’s games usually lean toward being quite challenging in terms of combat and other mechanics. But will they tone that down to make a more casual title?

In the very same tweet, Warhorse also announced they are working on a new Kingdom Come “adventure”. Notice that they very specifically did not call it Kingdom Come: Deliverance 3 or even use the Deliverance subtitle, so I have a feeling this might be some sort of small spin-off project. That would make sense because trying to work on the 3rd game in the series plus a new Middle-Earth game would be pretty demanding, whereas a smaller side-project is might be easier to handle.

Wczoraj skończyłem Kingdom Come Deliverence 2.

Grałem grubo po premierze, celowo, czekałem aż gra będzie stabilna i aż wyjdą wszystkie większe dodatki, tak aby nie musieć wracać do nich.

Ukończenie wątku głośnego, bez gnania przez fabułę, większości misji pobocznych i dodatków zajęło mi lekko ponad 120 godzin, co uważam za wynik rewelacyjny.

Cudowna była to gra, nie zapomnę jej nigdy i najpewniej niedługo znów do niej wrócę. Bawiłem się wyśmienicie, a na prywatnej liście najlepszych gier wskakuje na pierwsze miejsce.

Najważniejsze w tej grze są postacie. Nigdy nie spotkałem się z tak dobrze napisanymi bohaterami. Sztuką jest w kilku dialogach pokazać, że jakaś postać ma charakter, ma przeszłość, że jest za co ją polubić. Fabuła w tym wszystkim jest dopiero druga.

Grałem z czeskim audio, co było absolutnie fenomenalne. Każdy żart po czesku śmieszny dwa razy bardziej. 😅

—Un tipo intentó matarme tirándome un ladrillo a la cabeza. Le perdoné la vida porque soy buena gente :nkoAngel:

—Me enfrenté al cabecilla de dicho intento de asesinato y a ese le maté porque uno es buena gente pero tampoco tonto :NKO_hombros:

—El resto del rato lo pasé intentando encontrar la entrada a la posada más cercana para pasar la noche, porque no se veía nada con la caca de antorchita que llevaba. Cuando llegué a la posada no había posadero así que dormí en el monasterio en una manta tirado en el suelo 🙃

Hoy voy a ver si acabo un par de misiones y ya. Una cosa buena es que he mejorado bastante en las peleas y ya no me matan solo con mirarme 🥲

Hoy en el #KCD mientras iba por un camino por el bosque he visto como un grupo de bandoleros emboscaban y atacaban a un pobre fulano que pasaba por ahí. Yo por supuesto hice lo que cualquier caballero de bien hubiera hecho: me desvié del camino entre los matorrales para que no me vieran y huí como una rata :NKO_batido:

Después ataqué a otro bandido (mientras comía y por la espalda, como el guerrero valiente y aguerrido que soy), pero sus amigos me mataron igualmente, así que supongo que podríamos decir que el karma me la devolvió :NKO_hombros:

Hoy en el #KCD he visitado un campamento de carboneros porque necesitaba que me dieran cierta información, que no me querían dar porque se ve que había un grupo de villanos cerca que los querían asesinar. La cosa es que he conseguido convencer a un carbonero bastante crédulo de que yo solito había conseguido matar a todos los villanos (lo cual obviamente era mentira).

Warhorse opublikowało shorta o Kingdom Come: Deliverance, ale... nie znalazłem go na YT, jest na FB (ale nie będę linkował). Jeden z kadrów przypomniał mi, a w zasadzie uświadomił jedną rzecz - jak długą drogę przeszedł Henryk w jedynce.

Mimo osłabienia umiejętności na początku KCD2 i uzasadnienia tego fabularnie, w dwójce nawet na początku czuje się, że Henryk to rycerz. Nowe perki i rozwój umiejętności robią go coraz silniejszym, ale nie zmieniają wyraźnie charakteru postaci. W dwójce rozwój bohatera w sposób niejako naturalny, przeźroczysty, ale trudno dostrzegalny z perspektywy gracza.

Natomiast w pierwszej części gry ten rozwój jest wyraźniejszy, nie tylko w kategorii naszego patrzenia na świat oczami Henryka, ale także w reakcjach świata na rozwój naszego bohatera.

A piszę o tym, bo... dopiero dziś przypomniałem sobie, że w jedynce Henryk nie potrafił na początku nawet czytać, musiał się tego nauczyć.

I started playing #KingdomComeDeliverance 2 a couple of days ago and I’ve dedicated about 30 hours to it, but I basically did nothing from the main story. I explored the world, did some side quests and learned some blacksmithing and alchemy.
However, last night I decided to do some of the main quests and I am loving the story!
This game is amazing.
