The finished cake!
Photo is a Yule Log cake. It's y shaped. The cake is gluten free, chocolate sponge. There's whipped PB frosting in the center and chocolate ganache for the bark. Meringue mushrooms are scattered around on the cake with a little bit of confectioners sugar sprinkled on top.

A very light package showed up from King Arthur Baking today and I am VERY curious as to what it could possibly be. (It is definitely not the super sexy triple blend cocoa or chocolate chips I had on my list. Those would be heavy. Hmmm.)

Woke up craving dark chocolate so I baked chocolate muffins. There's 4 types of chocolate in these- semisweet mini chips, bittersweet chocolate chips on top, & I used King Arthur's double cocoa blend for the cocoa. Hit the spot, but don't let photos fool you though. They're a little dry. (That's been my experience with everything I've made with the new Cup4Cup blend. I'm going to have to order milk solids & start adding it to my recipes.) #gf #food #baking #KingArthurBaking

A Norwegian pound cake I've baked for a friend, from a recipe on the King Arthur site. I use the extra egg suggested in the recipe and replace the sour cream with creme fraiche. I also use cake flour instead of all-purpose, adding four tablespoons of all-purpose to reinforce it a bit. This makes the cake fluffier than the recipe describes. #cake #NotALie #baking #KingArthurBaking

Decorated the #cake I made on Saturday. Younger Kidlet turns 15 later this week & we're celebrating today. His only request was, "A LOT of frosting." I asked if I could use sprinkles - No. Ganache drips? No. M&M's like last year? That earned me an eye roll and a no. So, this is what he gets.
This is also the last of the chocolate cake for awhile. I'm almost out of the #KingArthurBaking double chocolate blend & I promised I'd scale back on spending so much on ingredients. #food

When you use a tablespoon of #KingArthurBaking's double dark cocoa blend in your overnight oats you can kinda close your eyes & pretend you're eating cocoa puffs cereal, like you did when you were 10 (and your mom had a coupon.🙄)

Baked gf chocolate chocolate chip #cookies using #KingArthurBaking's double cocoa. Not my favorite recipe but I think Husband is going to go nuts for them. They're not sweet. I may make them into a sandwich cookie with a spoonful of my mil's homemade berry jam. #food #bake Photo is a chocolate cookie with a bite taken out, being held in my fingers. Sprinkling of kosher salt on top.

Baked chocolate peanut butter chip cookies using double chocolate unsweetened cocoa from #KingArthurBaking that my mil gave me for Christmas. These cookies are DELICIOUS but since the recipe made 3 dozen & the teenaged cookie tornadoes came through the kitchen with grabby hands, I only have 2 dozen left. #SadPanda

This recipe for a mock #BetterBatter seems tempting, but the important question is if making it is truly less expensive in the long term than buying it, otherwise I’m sticking with #KingArthurBaking & #Cup4Cup for #GlutenFree Flour Blends.
