Interesting naming and pricing of Amazon #KindleScribe without Front Light. It’s the same price as reMarkable Pure with nice pen & case, but just $70 shy of the full color Scribe. Using lack of something in the name is weird. Why without front light and not “without color”?.
Regardless, if/when it comes down to $399 during a sale, it’s a compelling product. Will wait for reviews though. link.

The new Kindle Scribe #AI feature is surfaced as a button in the middle of the other buttons. I don't have to use it, but there is no setting for turning off the AI or removing the button. (I'd really like an undo shortcut for the button on my pen, but that won't get press, like I'm inadvertently giving this.) I guess this is Amazon's first crack at Opt-in. Praise you, Bezos. From past experience with AI-creep (or creepy AI features), I speculate that a future update will summarize proactively.
