A top Kinahan drug cartel sidekick is extradited to Ireland from the UAE.
A senior lieutenant of Ireland’s most wanted drug cartel boss was being extradited from the United Arab Emirates on Thursday in a major blow to the Kinahan organised crime group, which is under US sanctions.
Sean McGovern, 39, is described by the US Treasury as the “adviser and closest confidant” of cartel leader Daniel Kinahan, holed up in Dubai.

@HarriettMB @ChrisMayLA6 this is interestingly the first article i've seen to connect the #kinahan #supercartel to this russian money laundering operation (and to connect the kinahans to large scale crypto #moneylaundering in general, though we've always assumed crypto was a huge part of their operation).
