Running an extension like #KillYrSubstack isn't for everybody. So I made a uBlock Origin filter list that nukes 14k+ custom Substack domains (with new ones being added as they're discovered) plus `*.substack.com`. Set it and forget it:

After a number of folks let me know they wouldn't install #KillYrSubstack specifically because the maintainer of `archive.is` DDoSed and harassed a blogger who looked into the site's ownership, I thought it'd be worth offering an alternative.
Hope the Ghost Archive maintainers don't manage to milkshake duck themselves, because I don't know of any other good, low friction alternatives.

Quietly pushed #KillYrSubstack 1.2.1 out the door on Monday. Ghost Archive is now an option for anyone who'd rather route around the dickhead ownership of `archive.is`.
Originally tagged this as 1.2.0. Found a bug that needed fixing, patched it, then had to bump the version because Firefox's signing pipeline doesn't like to reuse version numbers. Welcome to the exciting world of browser extension publishing, Jason… :melting_poo:

I seem to have lost the plot about pundits and how the world works. I read the daily posting of Mike the Mad Biologist. Have for years. I do not understand why he contiues to link to substack authors. For the most part I refuse to read anything published at "the old nazi bar"™. Installed Kill Yr Substack browser extension the other day so... what the hell I go read a post by Judd Legum about how Coachella performers are funding the MAGA movement. ON SUBSTACK. Do you think his pulling my leg? Wonder what he's doing? Takes one to know one?
I'm old, world has changed... but what passes for punditry these days is messed up. Maybe the scales have fallen from my eyes.

Anyone interested in trying out a version of #KillYrSubstack that allows you to change the archiver from `archive.is` to Ghost Archive?

Made a few updates to #KillYrSubstack over the past 48 hours:
- Added an unpacked version for Chromium users who can't install the CRX (looking at you, Vivaldi).
- Relaxed the minimum Firefox version, so LibreWolf, Waterfox, and ESR installs should all work now.If you had trouble installing it before, give it another try!
