Sometimes I forget about the changing context that people are born into.
When I grew up, you would walk into a store and buy the components for a computer, put it together at home, and maybe get a 300baud acoustic coupler modem to work and talk to...something.
Now, people are born into a world where the default is a wireless computer that you carry everywhere in your pocket.
Which makes me sound insane when I say "you know, we could still do it the old way, without Google".

@kushal At a different discussion forum, someone pointed out that this scene was immediately after that character received a rejection letter dated 14 Aug 2004 (2003 was mentioned in a prior scene)... which is still before the 19 Sep 2006 release of Python 2.5 (or even 13 May 2005 for PEP 343).

@kushal I made it about 4 1/2 minutes into The Billion Dollar Code.
I had to stop when I saw the absurd irreality of Python having context managers is 2003. The lack of verisimilitude was painful to me.
