Last year on this date, a day after Kidder Cat was put down, for the first time in something like a little more than 15 years, I started the day without a fur buddy. It didn’t last long as I adopted Nubs and Gizmo soon after but it was a little surreal.

Another of my favorite pets who left way too soon as I didn’t have him a year; one of the most entertaining things about Kidder Cat was how he’d lay on the floor, reach into his food bowl like he’s got posable thumbs and eat popcorn while he’s watching a movie.
