In the kickball the person tried to propel the sphere into the basket with her shoe but the person whose job is to protect he basket caught it with her hands and cuddled it for a bit and therefore no numbers were added to the tally at the top of the screen #kickball

Maybe not spin on the kicking, but there is spin on the *pitching.* There's a rule that says the pitcher must bounce the ball twice before it reaches home plate, so there's some cricket-like spin bowling going on. Except it's not a small, hard ball being hit with a bat, it's a large, rubber ball being hit with your foot.
The competition specifically is known as Turf Wars if you want to check it out. There's some good stuff going on here.

Next up is kickball, and I'm really interested to see this one. You likely haven't played since elementary school, but at an elite level I can very much envision some soccer free-kick nonsense being imported to kickball in order to dodge fielders.
