I have the earlier model, and it is just fine. I can easily get better than 4 m/kWh in town just by driving as if I'm biking — that is, going slow up hills and keeping my foot off the brakes on the downhill as much as possible. The latter is a very new model, featuring "Zombie Mode", which stops you switching from neutral to drive/reverse (need to discconect 12v battery lead or wait 10+ mins)!
