For #throwbackthursday, I want to show you a side of the #UAE that’s away from skyscrapers and 14 lane highways.

This is #Khorfakkan, a small mountainous coastal town that is technically a part of #Sharjah but not connected to the main city. Unlike Sharjah and the other northern Emirates, Khorfakkan faces the Gulf of #Oman instead of the Persian/Arabian Gulf.

I loved coming here as a child and every time I come here I leave a part of me behind :)
