i& wasn't ready to participate in the last December Adventure, and never knew about this year's March Adventure...
but it's the first day of a new month, and i've got a project, so hopefully it might be okay for me (an onlooker, really) to go on some kind of (potentially solo) June Adventure?Khel is a rhythm game, one whose idea dates back more than half a decade. we previously implemented parts of it in Rust in 2024, and in C++ circa 2025, but i think it should be possible to implement it in C, so after mentioning it a couple times last month, i'm picking it back up in earnest!
i relicensed the Khel repository (https://git.sr.ht/~sporeball/khel) under terms similar to those of the VVVVVV source code release. there are other things (mailing list, guidelines, ...) inspired by those of @bd 's Oni language too!this game truly runs the gamut of my& disciplines, and i cannot wait to see what i can do to it. C code comes next ^^
