Il 12 febbraio Khatereh (Awat), donna curda originaria di Marivan, è stata uccisa a colpi d’arma da fuoco a Sulaymaniyah (Kurdistan iracheno). Aveva denunciato per molestie l’uomo sospettato dell’omicidio, già arrestato in passato ma che continuava a minacciarla. Il sospettato è stato fermato dalla polizia. Awat era sposata, madre di un figlio e lavorava come parrucchiera.
