This beauty caught me completely unprepared....or rather I should say... even if you are camping have your gear ready for action... well...it is what it is...
Asian water monitor (Varanus salvator (V. s. macromaculatus))
I know it is such poor quality :( but I'm happy to capture it.
Gear: Nikon D810 Sigma 24-70mm (sadly as Tamron 70-200mm was in my bag).

They say it is stormy a bit today at Khao Lak, TH.
Well, maybe not in my understanding... when I was watching these waves from a shore....
It was not that easy to get back to the beach due to the current dragging you away toward the open sea...
It proves again that as a tourist you shouldn't argue with locals... they just know better... accept that...
