38 years ago today, July 23, 1988, Ronnie Milsap debuted at #56 *Hot Shot Debut* on Billboard’s Hot Country Singles chart with “Button Off My Shirt”. It went on to peak at #4 and spent a total of 18 weeks on the chart.

I played this a lot on the radio back then; it had quite a different sound and style. It was in our hot rotation for several weeks. (AM 650 KYAK 1987-1991)
