This is a more educated interpretation of #KeralaRains in 2021 by Rajeevan Erikkulam, who works with the Kerala State Disaster Management Authority.

A fresh spell of widespread thunderstorms are projected to arrive om Wednesday October 20. I can only hope that the dams can handle it.

Widespread rains in #Kerala leave destruction in its wake. It flooded along the Periyar basin in 2013, the worst was 2018 and possibly again on 2021.
They were not kidding when they said. "Extreme events will become more intense and more frequent".

Manimala river is 2.22 m above the danger level and the water level in Mallappally Town is rising steadily. Rescue operations are going on. The district administration describe its the biggest flood in the history of Mallappally.
